QB plus the two highest-projected receiving teammates, ranked by combined projection. This compares a three-player core, not a complete lineup or simulated ROI. Ownership is each player’s projected field share; adding it gives cumulative ownership, not the probability of that exact stack.

The game-by-game analysis explains cheaper WR2/WR3, tight end and running-back alternatives. A QB–RB pairing expresses a game script and is not automatically receiving correlation. Check current availability and salary eligibility before entering.

Open the Early builder → Generate up to 5,000 candidates, choose the contest, and select your top N by simulation ROI, expected profit, risk-adjusted ROI, cash probability, first-place probability, projection or projected points per $1,000. Final entries must respect the contest cap. GPP default correlation pairs your QB with a receiver or tight end. Optional stack shares include WR1, WR2, WR3, TE and RB; roles are projection-based unless overridden.
Simulations are model estimates. Current projected ownership has not been calibrated against this slate’s final field. DraftKings export needs official player IDs. Early contest profiles have not been received; enter a verified custom field and payout ladder before simulating.
Early Only: a separate slate and a different roster problem
The seven-game Early Only pool removes Buffalo, Las Vegas, the Rams, Arizona, Kansas City and the Chargers. That means no Josh Allen, Puka Nacua, Matthew Stafford, James Cook III, Kyren Williams, Xavier Worthy, Trey McBride or Brock Bowers. Those are not fades: they are absent from this uploaded slate. Do not carry a Main lineup into Early or assume the same ownership environment survives a smaller player pool.
Chicago–Atlanta is the leading supplied game environment at 52.5, followed by New Orleans–New York Giants at 46.5, Indianapolis–Tennessee at 44.5 and New England–New York Jets at 43.5. Baltimore–Cleveland and Carolina–Philadelphia are both at 39.5; Pittsburgh–Tampa Bay is at 38.5. These totals are the uploaded snapshot, not independently checked live lines. The scoring gap between the top game and the rest is large enough to shape the entire build discussion.
Drake Maye leads quarterback projection at 19.62, but Caleb Williams is only 0.04 behind at $400 less. Tyler Shough projects for 19.23 at $5,600, saving another $600 versus Caleb. That makes quarterback a roster-level decision rather than an automatic spend-up. Compare what those savings do to your second running back, third receiver and tight end before deciding which quarterback belongs in cash.
Bijan Robinson remains the clearest premium running-back projection. At receiver, Chris Olave narrowly leads Drake London, while Garrett Wilson is next. Tyler Warren and Isaiah Likely are almost tied at the top of tight-end projection. The ownership estimates tell a different story: Likely is much more popular. This distinction between projected points and field preference is central to Early Only, where several of the Main alternatives have disappeared.
The practical starting point is Shough or Caleb at quarterback, Bijan as the premium running-back comparison, and a salary-conscious decision at tight end. For tournaments, choose whether to build into the Chicago–Atlanta game or use a concentrated alternative such as Shough–Olave–Johnson. Keep secondary receivers and cheaper tight ends visible, but do not give every available salary row equal exposure.
The file and the limits of this draft
This CourtEdge Analytics draft is prepared October 17, 2026 from the supplied Early Only projection export. It contains 357 salary rows from 14 teams. There are 181 positive-projection players: 14 quarterbacks, 41 running backs, 67 receivers, 45 tight ends and 14 defenses. The full positive-projection rankings are included by position, and the complete salary directory retains the remaining rows for reference.
The file does not independently establish the slate date, kickoff times, official DraftKings player IDs, confirmed inactive reports or actual route and touch shares. Teams, salaries, projected points and matchup assignments follow the uploaded snapshot. Check the official slate, starters and availability before using a roster. The later Afternoon playbook must be built from its own export; this article does not infer Afternoon eligibility from the Main pool.
Ownership is the Early Only estimate. It is not copied from Main and is not a recommended personal exposure percentage. Floor and ceiling are supplied model columns, not verified percentiles or assured outcomes. A positive projection is not proof that a player starts. The lineup examples below are projection-based constructions, not a completed contest-specific ROI ranking. No contest ladder has been attached to this draft yet.

Chicago–Atlanta: the most balanced shootout construction
This game has a supplied 52.5 total with Chicago at 27 implied points and Atlanta at 25.5. The balanced scoring expectation makes it attractive for stacks where both offenses need to keep answering. Caleb Williams costs $6,200 and projects for 19.58 points at 7.9% estimated ownership. That ownership difference against other Early quarterback constructions is meaningful, but it is only useful if Chicago actually delivers the concentrated passing production the lineup needs.
Luther Burden III is the highest Chicago receiving projection at 12.96 for $5,400. Rome Odunze at $4,900 and Colston Loveland at $4,300 are the next alternatives, and Kalif Raymond at $3,900 supplies a cheaper branch with 9.07 projected points. Williams–Burden–Loveland is a logical double stack. Williams–Odunze is a cheaper single stack that can support a more expensive return or running back. D’Andre Swift is a separate 15.97-point running-back candidate; his presence does not automatically make every Chicago passing stack better.
Bijan is the slate’s highest projected running back at 26.54, while Drake London leads Atlanta receivers at 17.32. Either can complete the opposite side of a Chicago stack. Michael Penix Jr. costs $5,000 and allows an Atlanta-led build with London or Kyle Pitts Sr. Pitts’ $3,700 salary and 10.36 projection are particularly useful when the premium receiver budget is tight. Jahan Dotson is a deeper alternative; his 5.83 projection makes the workload assumption much more demanding.
New Orleans–New York Giants: strong value quarterback, expensive ownership trap
Tyler Shough is a key salary decision: $5,600, 19.23 projected points and 9.5% estimated ownership. His projection is just 0.35 behind Caleb Williams while saving $600. That does not make him safer or better in every roster, but it makes him a serious comparison in both cash and tournaments. The supplied game total of 46.5 also gives this matchup a more favorable scoring context than most of the lower board.
Chris Olave is the highest projected Early receiver at 17.50 for $7,600, with only 6.6% estimated ownership. Shough–Olave is a clear concentrated passing bet. Juwan Johnson contributes 11.28 points at $4,500, and Devaughn Vele adds 11.06 at $5,100. Shough–Johnson is cheaper than Shough–Olave, while a double stack needs enough New Orleans passing scores to justify the extra teammate. Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller offer different rushing/receiving branches, but the file alone does not establish their touch split.
The Giants’ first choices are Cam Skattebo at running back, Malik Nabers at receiver and Likely at tight end. Likely projects for 12.02 at $4,800, yet carries a 41.1% ownership estimate and a supplied floor of only 0.30. That is a strong reason to compare Johnson, Fannin and the premium tight ends rather than label Likely an automatic cash lock. Jameis Winston–Nabers is the reverse passing branch; Malachi Fields and Darnell Mooney are lower-projection alternatives.
Indianapolis–Tennessee: value quarterback versus a rushing-led favorite
Indianapolis is implied for 25.8 points against Tennessee’s 18.8 in the supplied snapshot. Daniel Jones costs $5,200 and projects for 17 points, which makes him a reasonable saving option when a high-end running back or receiver is the real lineup priority. Jonathan Taylor at $8,000 and 18.23 points creates a different Indianapolis branch: success through rushing rather than multiple passing touchdowns.
Tyler Warren leads the Indianapolis receiving projections at 12.06 for $5,300, with Josh Downs at 11.23 for $5,800 and Keenan Allen at 8.98 for $4,300. Jones–Warren gives a tight-end stack without needing two receivers. Jones–Downs–Allen is a larger passing bet with more salary committed to a modest quarterback projection. Keenan Allen’s 15.5% estimated ownership is relatively large for his projection, so his salary relief should be compared with alternatives instead of treated as free value.
Cam Ward at $4,800 and 15.02 points is the cheap opposing quarterback branch. Carnell Tate is Tennessee’s best receiver projection at 12.06 for $5,000; Wan’Dale Robinson follows at 10.14 for $4,500. Tate or Robinson can return an Indianapolis passing stack, but a return is optional when the favorite’s production is sufficiently concentrated. Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears and Gunnar Helm belong in the secondary decision tree, not in a claim that this is a premium scoring environment.
New England–New York Jets: a quarterback ceiling branch outside the top totals
Maye is first in Early quarterback projection at 19.62 for $6,600. New England has 25.5 implied points in a 43.5-total game, so this offense can still matter even though the overall environment is below the leading three. His 9.1% estimated ownership makes him a reasonable tournament alternative. His $400 premium over Caleb needs to earn its place through the complete roster; only 0.04 projected points separate them.
A.J. Brown leads the supplied New England receiver projections at 10.86, followed by Romeo Doubs at 8.64 and Hunter Henry at 8.55. The file assigns Brown zero ownership despite a positive projection, so treat that as a data-quality check rather than a literal promise that nobody will roster him. Maye–Henry is the lower-cost tight-end stack. Doubs offers another receiving path, with Efton Chism III and DeMario Douglas deeper alternatives. Stevenson is a strong $6,000 running-back candidate at 17.15 points and 26.5% estimated ownership.
Garrett Wilson is the obvious Jets return at 16.79 points and $6,800. Braelon Allen at $5,700 and 14.17 points is the running-back alternative. Geno Smith costs $4,900 but projects for only 14.65; his cheap passing stack needs more than savings to beat the higher quarterback tier. Tim Patrick, Isaiah Williams and Kenyon Sadiq are secondary pieces whose lower projections should remain visible rather than being mistaken for core plays.
Baltimore–Cleveland: tournament alternatives in a lower-total game
This game’s supplied total is 39.5. Huntley costs $4,700 and projects for 16.90, making him an inexpensive quarterback alternative if his starting assignment is confirmed. His supplied floor is only 1.66, so the cheap salary must not be confused with a safe cash profile. Deshaun Watson costs $4,900 with a 15.87 projection on the Cleveland side.
Zay Flowers is Baltimore’s receiving leader at 14.25 points for $7,100. Mark Andrews at $4,200 and Rashod Bateman at $3,900 are lower-cost stack partners. A Huntley–Flowers lineup can produce a very different salary distribution from the Maye and Shough builds. Derrick Henry at $8,200 has a 16.55 mean and a supplied 34.60 ceiling, with 14.9% estimated ownership. He fits a tournament rushing-explosion branch, but that ceiling column is not a verified probability of such a result.
Cleveland’s receiving alternatives are Denzel Boston, Fannin and KC Concepcion Jr., with Jerry Jeudy and Isaiah Bond further down the model. Fannin’s $4,100 salary and 10.45 projection make him a useful tight-end comparison independent of a full game stack. Quinshon Judkins projects for 11.72. The stronger construction principle is to choose which side concentrates touchdowns, rather than pay for too many low-total-game pieces and hope each finds a score.
Carolina–Philadelphia: price-sensitive one-offs and a projection check
Carolina and Philadelphia share a supplied 39.5 total, with the Panthers at 21.3 implied points. Bryce Young projects for 18.41 at $5,700, which places him fourth among Early quarterbacks in raw points. That makes him worth keeping visible even though his game environment is not a first-tier stack. A Young lineup should be compared directly with Shough at almost the same salary.
Tetairoa McMillan leads Carolina receivers at 15.45 for $7,300. Jalen Coker contributes 11.92 for $5,900, with Darren Waller and Tommy Tremble as cheaper tight-end alternatives. Hubbard at $6,300 and 16.41 projected points is a midrange running-back candidate. A Young–McMillan–Coker double stack needs a concentrated passing outcome that overcomes the lower total; a single stack is easier to fit without committing too much of the roster.
Philadelphia’s supplied quarterback is Tanner McKee at $4,000 and 12.19 projected points. DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert are the highest receiving projections, followed by Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon. Dameon Pierce is the leading listed running back. These assignments need an official lineup check before use. Carolina’s defense projects for a slate-leading 8.70 at $2,500, an unusually strong value signal that should be validated. Do not oppose that defense with a full Philadelphia offensive stack in the same research lineup.
Pittsburgh–Tampa Bay: narrow exposure, identifiable salary relief
At 38.5, this is the lowest supplied total on the slate. That does not make every player unusable, but it reduces the appeal of spending four or five roster slots on the game. Pittsburgh has 20.5 implied points. Rodgers projects for 16.05 at $5,500; Jaylen Warren leads the offense at 16.20 for $7,000. DK Metcalf is the first receiver at 13.41 for $5,700.
Pat Freiermuth at $4,400 and Germie Bernard at $4,000 offer alternate receiving routes. Bernard’s 12.5% ownership estimate is high relative to his 8.57 projection, so this is a spot to distinguish salary relief from an automatic tournament edge. Darnell Washington is a deeper tight-end option with 5.28 projected points. A Rodgers–Metcalf single stack is easier to justify than assuming the entire passing tree needs to be included.
Jalon Daniels is the uploaded Tampa Bay quarterback at $4,800 and 15.39 projected points. His starting status needs confirmation. Emeka Egbuka at $5,200, Chris Godwin Jr. at $4,400 and Cade Otton at $3,300 are the leading receiving alternatives. Otton’s 8.15 projection gives an inexpensive tight-end branch, while Godwin can serve as a lower-cost return. Bucky Irving projects for 14.03 and supplies the rushing-led Tampa branch. Keep the game selective unless a specific construction clearly earns the extra concentration.
Best cash priorities, in order of the decision
Quarterback: Shough is the first price-efficiency comparison, Caleb is the second balanced construction, and Maye is the raw projection leader. This is an editorial cash decision order, not a rewrite of the projection board. Shough projects 19.23 at $5,600; Caleb 19.58 at $6,200; Maye 19.62 at $6,600. Paying $1,000 above Shough buys just 0.39 additional mean points in this snapshot. If the savings improve the rest of the roster materially, the cheaper quarterback deserves serious attention.
Running back: Bijan is the first premium anchor at $8,700 and 26.54 projected points. Stevenson is the first midrange comparison at $6,000 and 17.15. Taylor remains second in raw points at 18.23, but his $8,000 salary is $2,000 more than Stevenson for just 1.08 additional mean points. That does not make Taylor a bad player; it makes his opportunity cost important. Hubbard and Skattebo provide additional ways to fill a second running-back or flex slot without committing to two expensive backs.
Receiver: Olave, London and Wilson lead the raw discussion. London costs $600 less than Olave while trailing by only 0.18 projected points. Wilson saves another $200 for a 0.53-point drop from London. Those comparisons make both legitimate cash alternatives. Burden at $5,400 and Odunze at $4,900 are useful Chicago salary decisions. Kalif Raymond is deeper relief at $3,900; he is not interchangeable with a premier receiver simply because the roster needs savings.
Tight end: Johnson at $4,500, Fannin at $4,100 and Pitts at $3,700 are the first value comparisons. Warren leads raw projection at 12.06, while Likely is nearly tied at 12.02 and costs $500 less. Likely’s 41.1% estimated ownership should not be confused with a comparable advantage in expected points. Pitts projects for 10.36, only 1.66 behind Likely while saving $1,100. Johnson projects 11.28, just 0.74 behind Likely. Availability and role confirmation can change these rankings.
Defense: Carolina leads the snapshot at 8.70 points for $2,500. That is a strong model signal, but it needs checking against the actual Philadelphia lineup. Tampa Bay costs $2,600 with a 6.00 projection. The Jets at $2,200 supply cheaper relief with a 4.60 projection. Cash does not require paying for a defense with a famous name. Avoid combining a defense with a large opposing offensive stack, and compare how a defense upgrade affects the final skill-player slot.
A good cash build should not depend on four unrelated thin punts to afford Bijan, Taylor and an expensive receiver. Start with the complete salary allocation. Keep forced double stacks and mandatory opposing returns off unless there is a specific reason to use them. A quarterback and one receiving partner can occur naturally without turning the roster into an all-or-nothing game bet. A late inactive is more damaging than a small theoretical projection gain.
Ownership concentration: where Early differs from Main
London rises to 36.1% estimated ownership in Early, Taylor to 33.6%, and Likely to 41.1%. Bijan is projected at 39.6%. Those estimates make a Bijan–Taylor–London–Likely combination a substantial concentration in popular decisions before the rest of the roster is considered. Such a core can still score well, but tournament alternatives must earn their place through salary, correlation and plausible scoring paths.
Olave is estimated at 16.8%, less than half London’s ownership, while projecting slightly higher. His $600 higher price is the tradeoff. A Shough–Olave construction can be different from the popular Chicago–Atlanta environment without relying on a one-point receiver. Do not turn that ownership contrast into a claim that Olave is a lock or that London is a bad play. The field can be correctly interested in a cheaper receiver who also participates in the best game environment.
Taylor’s 33.6% estimate versus Henry’s 14.9% creates another comparison. Taylor leads Henry in mean projection by 1.68 points and costs $200 less. Henry therefore needs a ceiling-and-ownership case, rather than a median-value argument. Hubbard and Stevenson are different salary structures; replacing Taylor with one of them changes what the roster can do elsewhere. Keep that whole-roster consequence visible when evaluating tournament exposure.
Likely’s ownership is the clearest tight-end decision. Warren is almost equal in mean points at 20.2% ownership, Johnson is close at 13.9%, and Pitts is cheaper at 6.6%. A Pitts stack with Penix or a Johnson stack with Shough can supply actual football correlation rather than a random low-owned tight-end pivot. The relevant question is whether the alternative improves the complete lineup’s routes to a high finish, not whether its ownership number is merely smaller.
Avoid treating zero ownership as a literal absence from the field. A.J. Brown has a positive projection with a zero estimate in the supplied file. That should prompt a role and ownership-data check. Also avoid assuming that a name popular last week has the same relevance now. Early eligibility, current price, quarterback assignment and projected opportunity should drive the current decision.
Quarterback pool: depth without equal weighting
The first projection tier is Maye, Caleb and Shough, all between 19.23 and 19.62 points. Young follows at 18.41. Their closeness means salary and teammate combinations can change the preferred tournament order. Caleb is tied to the best supplied total; Shough has Olave and Johnson; Maye has a different receiving tree and Wilson as an opposing return. Young is a lower-total single-stack alternative with McMillan or Coker.
Jones, Huntley and Penix form the next projection group at 17.00, 16.90 and 16.83. Jones offers savings with Warren or Downs. Penix is a cheap route into Chicago–Atlanta and can pair with London or Pitts. Huntley can open salary but has a low supplied floor and requires an official starting check. These are different constructions, not three interchangeable cheap quarterbacks. Their distribution should follow the surrounding players and the scoring scenario each roster needs.
Rodgers, Watson, Winston, Jalon Daniels, Ward, Geno Smith and McKee complete the positive-projection board. Keeping them visible avoids the coverage failure of omitting a usable quarterback entirely. Visibility is not a recommendation for equal exposure. Lower projections and uncertain starting assignments should reduce their default role unless a specific stack, price combination or confirmed news changes the case. The full board below shows all fourteen, so a deliberate fade can be distinguished from an accidental omission.
Receivers, secondary partners and tight ends: who else can get there?
In Chicago, rotate Burden, Odunze and Loveland according to salary and stack size. Raymond is the cheaper branch, while Kmet is deeper and projected much lower. Atlanta’s core receiving choices are London and Pitts; Dotson and Zaccheaus are secondary alternatives. Their projection gaps matter. A lineup can use a low-cost secondary receiver, but it should not pretend that the cheaper player has the same expected role as the leading target.
New Orleans offers Olave first, with Johnson and Vele as genuine secondary projection options. The Giants offer Nabers and Likely first, then Malachi Fields and Mooney at lower projected production. A double stack should use a coherent allocation of passing output. Adding every inexpensive teammate can consume salary slots without improving the chance that the quarterback’s best game is captured efficiently.
New England’s Brown, Doubs and Henry are the first receiving options in the file. Chism and Douglas are deeper. On the Jets, Wilson leads clearly, while Patrick, Isaiah Williams and Sadiq provide cheaper alternatives. Indianapolis has Warren, Downs and Keenan Allen; Tennessee has Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson, followed by Helm and deeper receivers. The directories retain the low-projection names, but a smaller slate is not a reason to erase the difference between a primary partner and a thin punt.
Baltimore’s first receiving choice is Flowers, followed by Andrews and Bateman. Cleveland offers Boston, Fannin and Concepcion before moving to Jeudy and Bond. Carolina has McMillan and Coker, with Waller and Tremble at tight end; Philadelphia has Smith and Goedert, then Wicks and Lemon. Pittsburgh’s Metcalf, Freiermuth and Bernard provide its main receiving choices, while Tampa Bay has Egbuka, Godwin and Otton. Each team’s lower-ranked players remain searchable in the salary directory.
The WR and TE rankings are separate because NFL DraftKings eligibility is distinct. The flex can use a running back, receiver or tight end, but a second tight end still needs a points-and-price reason. A cheap tight end who projects near ten can be a sensible flex when receiver value is poor; a two-point backup should not be inserted merely to complete a stack. Pairing a quarterback with an eligible running back is situational and does not imply the same passing-touchdown correlation as a receiver.

Five complete research lineup examples
These salary-legal examples maximize supplied projection subject to each stated core. They illustrate construction, not five independently simulated recommendations. They do not include validated DraftKings IDs, injury checks or exact contest ownership/duplication modeling. Overlap is intentional for comparison; this is not a diversified five-entry portfolio.

From candidate pool to a saved 150
Generate a broad research pool, then select the top 150 using one consistent ranking objective after a valid simulation. Candidate research can exceed the contest’s entry limit; actual submissions cannot. An Early-only simulation must use Early ownership, the Early player pool and that contest’s actual entry fee and payout ladder. A Main simulation or a generic 150-entry label is not an equivalent substitute.
Use automatic passing correlation as a starting point, not as a rigid demand for two teammates and an opposing player on every roster. A single stack can be appropriate when salary is tight or the quarterback’s scoring is spread out. A double stack is stronger when the desired ceiling outcome concentrates enough receiving production in those partners. Returns are most helpful when competitive back-and-forth scoring is important to the thesis.
Inspect both player exposure and game exposure. A portfolio with modest individual caps can still depend almost entirely on Chicago–Atlanta. On the other hand, diversifying away from the best game through numerous low-projection players can sacrifice too much quality. Keep a clear core, add several well-supported passing constructions, and use alternative salary structures rather than cosmetic one-player changes.
If exact percentage ranges cannot be expressed in a small number of lineups, stack shares should be shown as whole-lineup counts with the actual achieved percentage. For 150 lineups, one lineup is about 0.67 percent. Hard exclusions, locked players and salary legality still need enforcement. A builder should explain infeasible combinations rather than silently return a portfolio that violates the settings.
Save the precise roster file, ordering, projections, ownership estimates, contest profile, completed simulation count and timestamp before lock. After final scoring, calculate the hypothetical scores and ranks against the same contest, accounting for ties when estimating payouts. Keep first-place rate separate from cash rate and keep predicted ROI separate from realized profit. One good or bad slate does not establish whether an estimated probability is calibrated.
Final checks and what comes next
Confirm the official slate date and kickoff assignments, then verify starting quarterbacks and inactive players. If a quarterback changes, re-evaluate the whole passing tree and opposing defense. Do not merely replace one name and preserve every old teammate assumption. Check any major salary-value signal against expected role, especially a cheap player whose ownership changes quickly after news.
This draft awaits the Early contest profiles. Cash, single-entry and large-field tournaments can use the same player projections but need different lineup selection objectives. Once the exact contests arrive, the playbook can attach the relevant payout structures and examples without mixing Early with Main or Afternoon. No example in this document is represented as having a contest-specific simulated ROI.
For post-slate review, upload the final standings and the saved pregame candidate or selected-lineup file. A live export with remaining time is useful for monitoring, but final winners and payouts require settled scoring. Player names concealed as LOCKED cannot be treated as absent from the field. Preserve the original snapshot so retrospective learning is based on what was actually available at the time.
