A contest-aware Showdown builder for the Travelers R4. Pick a contest type and the engine changes both the construction rules and the simulation's field size + payout model. A synthetic opponent field is sampled from each golfer's ownership, every golfer's R4 score is Monte-Carlo'd with golfer-specific variance, and your lineups are scored vs that field for real win% / cash% / top-1% / EV. Lock or exclude golfers, cap each at a max exposure in 5% steps, and copy any lineup or the whole set into the DraftKings importer.
📋 Rule of Thumb — Showdown by contest type
• Single Entry → moderate uniqueness, but CHALK IS OK — $200-style hand-build fields over-own the popular names, so owning them is fine and even +EV. Rank by win%/EV.
• 150-Max (My Rules) → large-field Milly, $50k to 1st. MAX uniqueness — keep Σown low (<~95%), low product-ownership, ≥3 golfers under 15% and ≥1 under 5%, ladder 2/2/1. One smash lineup wins it. Rank by EV on a top-heavy curve.
• Cash → 50/50s & double-ups. Highest FLOOR (Σp25). Chalk is fine, you only need to beat the median. Balanced salary, no naked stars-and-scrubs.
• Finish points are in play (single round R4) — ceiling matters; every build wants real upside.
