The read in one line: when the game total is this low and both aces project 7+ strikeouts, the winning Showdown lineup almost always starts with a pitcher in the captain spot — and the field will jam both arms into flex and captain the wrong one. The leverage is in which ace you crown, and the sub-3%-owned bat that steals a tournament if one starter cracks.

Zack Wheeler and Tarik Skubal both project ~7.1 K in ~6 IP — the two highest strikeout arms on the board, facing each other. Comerica is a pitcher's park, the total sits around 7, and both offenses project in the low-4s. That's a classic Showdown "one starter cruises, the other cracks in a single inning" script. You want at least one ace, and the tournament-winning builds will pair an ace captain with the opposing team's cheap power in case the script flips.
