⚡ The slate at a glance
- The shootouts: KC@BAL (10.1 sim total — BAL implied 5.4, highest team total on the board), CHC@CIN (10.0 — CHC 5.4 in the bandbox), NYY@WSH (9.9 — NYY 5.2, WSH 4.8).
- The ace duel: PHI@DET at 7.7 — Wheeler vs Skubal, the two best arms on the slate in the same game. That's your pitching decision in one matchup.
- The sneaky middles: OAK@CWS 9.2, LAA@MIN 9.1 — real run environments the field will mostly skip.
- The number that defines the day: the three chalk offenses (CHC 19.3%, NYY 16.3%, BAL 14.2% average ownership on their top four bats) versus WSH at 7.7% with a 4.8 team total. Hold that thought for the stack section.
💵 My favorite CASH plays — and why
| Player | Pos | Team | Salary | Proj | Own% | Why |
| Zack Wheeler ✅ | P | PHI | $11,000 | 17.2 | 35.6% | Top projection, top ceiling (34), K-heavy matchup. The anchor arm — pay it in cash. |
| Bobby Witt Jr. ✅ | SS | KC | $6,700 | 10.0 | 13.3% | Best bat projection on the slate in the highest-total game (10.1). |
| Gunnar Henderson ✅ | SS | BAL | $5,600 | 9.5 | 15.1% | The 5.4 team total at a mid-tier price; 26 ceiling. |
| Ben Rice ✅ | 1B | NYY | $6,300 | 9.6 | 11.9% | NYY's 5.2 total runs through him; top 1B projection with a 26 ceiling. |
| Alex Bregman ✅ | 3B | CHC | $3,900 | 9.2 | 25.5% | The free square. $3,900 for a top-3 bat projection in the 5.4-total bandbox game. Everyone has him; in cash you don't care. |
| Jose Caballero ✅ | 2B/SS | NYY | $3,700 | 8.8 | 23.5% | Second free square — dual-eligible, near-min price, 9.9-total game. |
| Adley Rutschman ✅ | C | BAL | $4,400 | 9.2 | 14.4% | Best catcher projection on the board, attached to the best team total. |
Cash frame: Wheeler + one of Skubal/Bradley as the second arm, then Witt/Gunnar/Rice as the mid spine, Bregman + Caballero as the salary unlocks. That's 7 names — assemble the rest to taste in the builder.
🔥 My GPP arms — ranked
| # | Arm | Team | Salary | Proj | Ceil | Own% | Call |
| 1 | Zack Wheeler | PHI v DET | $11,000 | 17.2 | 34 | 35.6% | ✅ 🚀 The ace call. Correct chalk. |
| 2 | Tarik Skubal | DET v PHI | $10,400 | 16.3 | 32 | 25.6% | 🚀 Same duel, 10 points less owned. Wheeler+Skubal double-ace is live (the McLean+Greene echo from the Bat Flip winner). |
| 3 | Taj Bradley | MIN v LAA | $8,800 | 14.9 | 31 | 23.9% | ✅ SP2 of the day at a workable price. |
| 4 | Matthew Boyd | CHC v CIN | $7,200 | 13.6 | 30 | 17.5% | 🚀 The value arm — 30 ceiling at $7.2K pays for the bats above. |
| 5 | Jose Soriano | LAA v MIN | $9,200 | 12.7 | 30 | 5.8% | 🚀 LEVERAGE The leverage arm: 30 ceiling at 5.8% owned. In 150-max sets this is a mandatory sprinkle. |
Honorable mentions: MacKenzie Gore ($8,700 · 12.4%) and Joey Cantillo ($8,000 · 9.6%) as secondary leverage; Shane Baz ($7,600 · 16.0%) as the second value arm.
📊 CourtEdge Proprietary Stack Rankings
Ranked by our blend — leverage × upside × ownership, never raw projection. Team total, average ownership of the top-4 bats, verdict:
| # | Stack | Team total | Top-4 avg own | Verdict |
| 1 | BAL (v KC, 10.1 game) | 5.4 | 14.2% | ✅ 🚀 Highest total on the board at HALF the chalk stack's ownership. Gunnar/Rutschman/Alonso/Ward/Basallo — the correct anchor stack. |
| 2 | 🚀 WSH (v NYY, 9.9 game) | 4.8 | 7.7% | THE LOW-OWNED BOOM STACK. The runner-up-total rule: winners take the second-best total the field ignores. Wood ($6,600 · 7.3%) + CJ Abrams ($5,700 · 11.5%) headline a 4.8-run offense nobody stacks because the field is busy with the NYY side of the same game. |
| 3 | KC (@ BAL, 10.1 game) | 4.7 | 6.8% | 🚀 Witt at 13% and everyone else near-free in the slate's biggest game. The bring-back for BAL builds. |
| 4 | MIN (v LAA, 9.1 game) | 4.8 | 5.5% | 🚀 Same team total as WSH, even less owned — the deep-field dart. |
| 5 | CHC (@ CIN, 10.0 game) | 5.4 | 19.3% | Chalk verdict: the projection is real (Suzuki/PCA/Bregman/Kelly all board-worthy) but you're buying it with the whole field. Cap exposure, don't zero it. |
| 6 | CIN (v CHC, 10.0 game) | 4.6 | 7.3% | 🚀 The other bandbox side — Stewart/Steer at a third of the CHC ownership. |
| 7 | NYY (@ WSH, 9.9 game) | 5.2 | 16.3% | Fine stack, dupe-heavy builds. Prefer the Rice/Caballero pieces à la carte over the full 5-man. |
| 8 | OAK (@ CWS, 9.2 game) | 4.7 | 5.7% | Langeliers-led sneaky stack; pairs with Murakami on the other side. |
🧢 Best play at every position
| Pos | The play | Salary | Proj | Own% | Call | The pivot |
| C | Adley Rutschman (BAL) | $4,400 | 9.2 | 14.4% | ✅ | 🚀 Samuel Basallo ($4,000 · 8.4% · 25 boom) — same game, half the price tier. |
| 1B | Ben Rice (NYY) | $6,300 | 9.6 | 11.9% | ✅ | 🚀 Munetaka Murakami ($5,000 · 4.8%) — 24 ceiling, nearly unowned. |
| 2B | Jose Caballero (NYY) | $3,700 | 8.8 | 23.5% | ✅ | 🚀 Jazz Chisholm Jr. ($4,700 · 10.3%) — the ceiling version; JJ Wetherholt ($4,500 · 7.5%) the leverage version. |
| 3B | Alex Bregman (CHC) | $3,900 | 9.2 | 25.5% | ✅ | 🚀 Junior Caminero ($6,200 · 4.0% · 28.6 boom%) — the single best leverage bat on the slate. Highest boom% on the board at 4% owned. |
| SS | Bobby Witt Jr. (KC) | $6,700 | 10.0 | 13.3% | ✅ 🚀 | Gunnar ($5,600 · 15.1%) 1a; 🚀 Zach Neto ($4,900 · 8.2%) the discount. |
| OF | Seiya Suzuki (CHC) | $4,500 | 9.2 | 22.2% | ✅ | 🚀 James Wood ($6,600 · 7.3%) — the WSH boom-stack anchor; PCA ($6,800 · 10.6%) the ceiling buy; Trent Grisham ($4,400 · 16.0%) the cash filler. |
💰 The value board (≤$4,000)
| Player | Pos | Team | Salary | Proj | Own% | Call |
| Alex Bregman | 3B | CHC | $3,900 | 9.2 | 25.5% | ✅ The free square (yes, again — he's that mispriced). |
| Jose Caballero | 2B/SS | NYY | $3,700 | 8.8 | 23.5% | ✅ Dual-eligible glue. |
| Carson Kelly | C | CHC | $3,300 | 8.9 | 18.8% | ✅ C value in the bandbox. |
| Nico Hoerner | 2B | CHC | $3,400 | 8.7 | 12.5% | 🚀 Third CHC value — lets you stack the bandbox cheap. |
| Alec Burleson | 1B | STL | $3,900 | 8.4 | 4.9% | 🚀 LEVERAGE Sub-5% owned with a top-value projection. |
| Chase DeLauter | OF | CLE | $3,000 | 8.5 | 10.1% | 🚀 $3K with a real path to 20+. |
| Brayan Rocchio | SS | CLE | $3,100 | 8.4 | 8.9% | MIA road value pair with DeLauter. |
| Wyatt Langford | OF | TEX | $3,700 | 8.3 | 10.2% | 🚀 Absurd price for the talent; HOU@TEX sim total 8.8. |
| Anthony Seigler | 2B | BOS | $2,800 | 8.4 | 15.4% | Near-min salary unlock when you need two studs up top. |
🧨 The sub-5% leverage board
- Junior Caminero (TB 3B · $6,200 · 4.0% · 28.6 boom%) — highest boom% on the entire slate at 4% ownership. This is the Caminero seat, literally. One in every three or four GPP builds.
- Munetaka Murakami (CWS 1B · $5,000 · 4.8%) — 24 ceiling in a 9.2-total game nobody's watching.
- Alec Burleson (STL 1B · $3,900 · 4.9%) — the value-tier leverage; fits any build.
- Yandy Diaz (TB 1B/3B · $4,900 · 3.9%) — the second TB bat when you want the mini-stack version of the Caminero thesis.
🎯 Contest attack
- Cash / double-ups: floor sort. Wheeler + Bradley, the Witt/Gunnar/Rice spine, Bregman + Caballero, finish with Grisham/Seigler-tier floor. No sub-5% pieces — you don't need to be different, you need to be right.
- Single-entry: one anchor stack (BAL 4-man), the double-ace (Wheeler+Skubal) if the cap allows or Wheeler+Boyd if not, Caminero as your one leverage bat. Build starts: Gunnar + Rutschman + Alonso + Ward / Wheeler + Boyd / Caminero.
- 20-max: rotate the top-4 stacks (BAL/WSH/KC/MIN) with the arms board; zero dupes between entries (the sharp frame: one anchor, rotate everything else).
- 150-max / large-field: the 🚀 WSH boom stack gets 20-25% of your builds — the runner-up-total rule is exactly how the Bat Flip winner was built (structure ours, second-best total the field ignored). Sprinkle Soriano in 10-15%, cap CHC exposure under the field's ~19%, and sort candidates by Win%/ceiling, never average ROI.
The core, in one line: Wheeler ✅ · Witt ✅ · Gunnar ✅ · Rice ✅ · Bregman ✅ · Caminero 🚀 · Wood 🚀 — six-to-seven names, you assemble the rest in the Main Builder + Sim.
Every pick graded & published, win or lose. Today's slate is loaded in the builders, the Bomb Board and the Boom/Bust Board.
